Monday, October 30th, 2017 and Tuesday, October 31st, 2017

Homework:  Bring your "I Have a Dream" annotation/close read next class if not shown in class today. 1. "I Have a Dream" Study Guide due next class to review for your quiz on Friday (11/3/17 for EVEN) and Monday (11/6/17 ODD). 2. Essay Grades for Odysseus Strengths and Weaknesses

Grades will reappear in Infinite Campus calculation for this assignment and there will be time in class on October 30th and 31st to revise if you want try to improve your essay grade. There was some confusion, especially for students who did not do this assignment, so I am making them appear again in Infinite Campus today. Odysseus strengths and weaknesses essay revisions must be submitted by hard copy or Google classroom (revisions assignment) by Friday, November 3rd for EVEN classes and Monday, November 6th for ODD classes. Extension: Late #19 (not submitted) essays will not be taken late past the end of class on Tuesday, November 7th (EVEN) and Wednesday, November 8th (ODD). Revisions will not be given to essays turned in late from Wednesday, November 2nd to Thursday, November 7th.

Monday, October 16th and Tuesday, October 17th

Homework: 1. Register for turnitin.com if you have not already. Codes are in Google classroom. 2. Outside of class Performance Task Explanatory Essay (workbook page 690) is due in turnitin.com by Friday, October 20th. 3. Do both sides of questions for "The Ugly Duckling". Due today:  Book Review (Hard copy or Google classroom)  Agenda: 1. District Performance Task (Day 1 - You may start part 2 also and get one more class period to finish.) The second day in class will be Friday, October 20th (EVEN) and Monday, October 23rd (ODD) due to the evacuation drill on Thursday, October 19th. Next class you will be able to work on your page 690 performance task out of class essay and ask clarifying questions. I will also explain how to upload to turnit.com.
