Monday, April 9th

Monday, April 9th, 2018 I will be grading District Performance Tasks off campus so I will not be here for tutorial. Please be respectful to the substitute (ODD classes) and e-mail me (all classes) questions that you have. I am taking a break on Spring Break so I will answer e-mails from Spring Break after Spring Break. Have an amazing Spring Break!

Friday, March 30th, 2018 (EVEN ONLY) ODD will have this lesson a different day.

Homework: Finish the agenda if you did not in class today. Have an awesome Spring Break! Agenda: 1. Jumpstart Question: See Google classroom  2. Do workbook pages 124 and 125 (Use your workbook if you were absent.) Volume 1, unit 2 3. Read the launch text "The Cost of Survival" on pages 126 and 127. 4. Do the summary on page 128 (Minimum 4 sentences) 5. Complete a 5 box flow map or picture flow map of Chapter 1 of Of Mice and Men .   Due today: John Steinbeck Notes (5 minimum) + DOK 3 Question + answer Absent or Late work

Wednesday, March 28th and Thursday, March 29th

Homework: 1. Extra credit is due April 10th (EVEN) and April 11th (ODD). 2. Read the rest of Chapter 1 of Of Mice and Men . Do all of the chapter 1 questions. 3. The Unit 4 essay is due at 4PM in turnitin.com on 3/28 for EVEN and 3/29 for ODD. Due today: Of Mice and Men homework (Notes on Steinbeck + DOK 3 question with answer)Extension due to essay Please submit this by next class period. Agenda: 1. Review characters and turn in homework. 2. Read Of Mice and Men. 3. Essay for Unit 4 (Finish your CS paragraph and submit the entire essay to turnitin.com.) I am not able to do turnitin.com password resets. Everyone is now currently registered from the District Benchmark. Please do a reset with the website. Allow five minutes for the upload.

Tuesday, March 20th and Wednesday, March 21st Agenda

3-20-18 (Sub day) and 3-21-18 Homework: Outside Reading Assignment + Agenda (If not completed in class) Due today: Participation all period Period 2 and 6 -If you need to turn in drama terms stapled to your character chart or other late work give it to the substitute. I plan to be back on Wednesday to collect work in class for ODD classes. Agenda: See the attached handouts for the agenda. Act IV Review Romeo and Juliet Discussion Questions Diamante Poem Final Copy (Write on the back do not hang up if I you do not want me to hang it up on the wall in class.) Brainstorm (page 538) If you finish the agenda early then please help a classmate, work on your outside reading project, read your book or start your essay early. Graded papers are in your class crates by the door. Feel free to get your graded work from the crates.

Homework:  Outside Reading Assignment due March 22nd (EVEN) and March 23rd (ODD) R and J Drama Terms + Character Charts due next class period Agenda: 1. Review your R and J Act V, scene i and ii homework (summary, DOK 3? and comment) with a classmate. Then,  fill out the new handouts for R and J Act V, scene i and ii. 2. Work on the Chart of Days (You have time next class to finish this.) 3. Listen to Act V, scene iii and fill out the review. Fill out the play part of the Comparison Chart. 4. Watch the ending of the movie R and J. Then, fill out the Comparison chart for the movie. Romeo and Juliet   Act V (Read scene i and ii.) Write a summary, a DOK 3 Question and a comment. Use Google classroom or notebook paper. Due in two classes. Agenda (District Performance Task = DPT) 1. Romeo and Juliet Act IV Quizzes (if absent) 2. DPT Day 1 (if absent) or Day 2 (If not absent)  Day 1 - Clip rubric on top of any papers use for brainstorming and or a rough draft. Homework: Be sure your annotations are done so you can start your paragraph next class period. 1. Study for your Act IV Quiz next class (I recommend that you annotate as it is open book.) 2. Complete the practice workbook pages for Act IV if you have not already. I gave an extension on this. It was homework last class period. 3. Character charts and Drama Terms are due Monday, March 18th (ODD) classes. 4. Your outside reading assignment is due March 23rd, 2018. Due today: Act IV Storyboard Turn in Act 3 (III) viewing handouts if you did not already. Be sure to turn in absent or late work. Agenda: 1. Act IV Storyboard (Get this checked by me and revise if needed.) If you turn this in at the end of the period you may get it back next class period. 2.
